Railways Pantry Staff Cook Oats for Toddler, Win Praise

Indian Railways pantry staff have won praise online after cooking oats for a two-year-old child on a train. A mother travelling from Bihar to Bengaluru shared the experience on Instagram. Her video has gone viral.
The mother carried a packet of dry oats and a small container for her child’s dinner. She did not want to depend fully on outside food during the two-night journey. In the evening, she took the packet to the train pantry and asked the staff to prepare it.
The staff agreed and cooked the oats in about five minutes. The mother said they were cooperative and helpful. She said the small gesture made her long journey much easier. Travelling with a toddler needs careful planning, especially around meals.
She thanked the pantry staff in her post. She tagged Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and the Indian Railways Instagram account. Social media users praised the staff and shared similar stories of kindness on trains.
