NCL GT20 Canada’s Caribbean edition, explained

Canada's NCL GT20 franchise tournament will hold its 2026 edition in the Caribbean. Here is a guide to the tournament and the move.
The NCL GT20 Canada is Canada's professional T20 franchise cricket tournament. Its 2026 edition will be staged in St. Vincent and the Grenadines from October 23 to November 2, 2026.
The move to the Caribbean is specific to the 2026 edition. The tournament is set to return to Canada in 2027.
The tournament is being organised in collaboration with Cricket Canada and Cricket West Indies. It will bring together Canadian, Caribbean and international cricket talent on one platform, giving players from both regions the chance to compete alongside international talent.
The Caribbean edition aims to strengthen cricketing, developmental and commercial ties between Canada and the West Indies. Organisers say it will create greater opportunities for players, administrators, fans and commercial partners across both regions.
"NCL GT20 is fundamentally a Canadian tournament, and the Caribbean provides a special home for our 2026 edition," said Arvinder Khosa, President of Cricket Canada.
The initiative is expected to strengthen player pathways between Canada and the Caribbean, building relationships that can continue when the tournament returns to Canada next year.
