ONLYOFFICE 10.0 adds AI tools to office suite
ONLYOFFICE has released version 10.0 of its open-source office suite. The update was launched on October 8 with a focus on artificial intelligence.
The new version brings context-aware AI to its document, spreadsheet, presentation, and PDF editors. A new AI tab gives users quick access to chat tools inside their files.
Version 10.0 includes about 50 new features and more than 1,000 fixes. The AI can work with text, tables, and slides to help users draft and edit.
The suite also adds four free modular apps: AI Agents, Forms, Files, and Rooms. These are released under the open-source AGPL v3 license.
Users can connect AI through OpenRouter’s cloud service. They can also use any other model, including ones running on their own servers.
Security has been improved too. The company says the new release is safer for teams that handle private data.
ONLYOFFICE is free and open source. It competes with paid office suites from Microsoft and Google.
