Spotify has connected to Muse, Meta's new AI agent, in what the streaming service says is the first major music integration on the platform. Announced on September 23, the link lets users play music, audiobooks and podcasts, save tracks to their library, build playlists and discover new music through Muse. It can also turn a user's briefing or notes into a Personal Podcast. Spotify follows Ticketmaster as one of the first music-related connectors on Muse, which Meta launched on September 8 in the United States and Canada. The assistant is free to use. The integration has split opinion: some listeners welcome voice-driven music control, while others want a clear way to opt out of the AI features, and there is currently no straightforward opt-out. The move deepens the race among music services to embed themselves inside general-purpose AI assistants. Analysts say partnerships like this could reshape how people discover music, moving from typing searches to conversational requests.
