Lions beat Browns 34-10 to move to 3-1
The Detroit Lions beat the Cleveland Browns 34-10 on Sunday at Ford Field to improve to 3-1 on the season and delight the home crowd.
Detroit’s defence forced three turnovers and sacked Joe Flacco three times, while Kalif Raymond’s 65-yard punt return touchdown in the fourth quarter sealed the win. The Lions’ pass rush overwhelmed Cleveland’s offensive line all afternoon.
Jared Goff threw two touchdown passes to Amon-Ra St. Brown, and Jahmyr Gibbs added a rushing score as the Lions pulled away late.
Flacco threw two interceptions and no touchdowns for Cleveland, which fell to 1-3 despite another solid effort from its defence. The Browns’ offence could not capitalise on the few openings the defence created.
The Lions head on the road next week to face the Cincinnati Bengals, while the Browns travel to London to play the Minnesota Vikings. Detroit will aim to keep pace at the top of the NFC North.
