India will chase medals across athletics, shooting, boxing, surfing, kurash and archery on a packed Day 10 of the Asian Games at Aichi-Nagoya on Tuesday.

Gulveer Singh, already a two-time medallist at the Games, targets a hat-trick in the men’s 5000m final alongside Avinash Sable. India also features in the pole vault, high jump, hammer throw, 800m and three relay finals in a busy evening of athletics.

Boxers Parveen, Ankush Panghal and Narender enter their semifinal bouts with places in the final and shots at gold on the line. In shooting, trap specialists Kynan Chenai, Ahvar Rizvi and Shapath Bharadwaj contest the men’s team and individual finals, while Neeru, Manisha Keer and Aashima Ahlawat compete in the women’s events.

Anbarasu Kishore Kumar opens India’s day in the men’s shortboard surfing quarterfinal against the Philippines’ Toby Espejon, while Vipin Kumar fights in the men’s -66kg kurash. Archers Dhiraj Bommadevara, Neeraj Chauhan, Kirti and Kumkum Mohod begin recurve elimination rounds.

With so many medal events, Tuesday could be one of India’s biggest days of the Games.
