India eye series sweep in third ODI against West Indies

India will look to complete a 3-0 series sweep when they face the West Indies in the third and final ODI on October 3 at New Chandigarh.
The hosts have dominated the series so far, winning the first two matches convincingly. Captain Shubman Gill has been in sublime form, including a magnificent 223 not out and a stunning 406-run chase in the second ODI.
India have been hit by an injury blow, with fast bowler Prasidh Krishna ruled out of the decider with a left hamstring strain. Anshul Kamboj has been named as his replacement and will join the squad in Chandigarh.
The West Indies, meanwhile, will be playing for pride. Their batters have struggled against India’s spin attack, and they will need a much-improved performance to avoid a whitewash.
With the T20I series starting on October 6, both teams may use the final ODI to test combinations. But India will want to keep their winning momentum going, and Gill’s men start as clear favourites.
