Naman Dhir replaces Washington Sundar in T20I squad

The BCCI has named Naman Dhir as Washington Sundar’s replacement in India’s squad for the five-match T20I series against the West Indies starting October 6.
Sundar was withdrawn on October 1 so he can prepare for the upcoming Test series against New Zealand. With the Ranji Trophy starting on October 11, the all-rounder will play red-ball cricket for Tamil Nadu to get ready for the two-Test series.
Dhir, the Punjab all-rounder, earns a maiden T20I call-up after impressing in the ongoing ODI series. The 26-year-old, who plays for Mumbai Indians in the IPL, was the top scorer in the recent Sher-E-Punjab T20 League with 655 runs at a strike rate of 217.61.
In a separate change, fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has been ruled out of the third ODI against West Indies with a left hamstring injury. Anshul Kamboj replaces him and will join the squad in Chandigarh.
The T20I series begins in Lucknow, with matches also scheduled in Ranchi, Indore, Hyderabad and Bengaluru, concluding on October 17.
