EPFO enrolment drive for left-out workers ends Oct 31

The EPFO’s Employees’ Enrolment Campaign 2026 is in its final weeks. The one-time window closes on October 31, 2026.
The campaign lets establishments declare employees who were missed from provident fund coverage between April 1, 2009 and March 31, 2026. It is meant for workers left out of the EPF net by their employers.
If the employer never deducted the employee’s share of contributions, that share is waived for the declared period. If PF wages were paid without deduction, damages are capped at a flat 100 rupees.
Only employers with a valid PF code can declare such employees, and no new establishment code can be taken for the scheme. Employees are enrolled from their date of joining with interest as per EPF rules.
Members can generate their Universal Account Number through Face Authentication on the UMANG mobile app. Employers remit dues through the Electronic Challan-cum-Return system.
The EPFO has asked employers to use the window responsibly and declare all eligible workers. Trade unions welcomed the move, saying it will bring thousands of long-excluded workers into the social security net.
