Ms Rachel has donated $5,000 to a Filipino baby’s medical fundraiser, covering the full amount the family was seeking.

The YouTube star responded after the baby’s mother, Daisy, asked her to share the fundraiser on Threads. The child has a rare birth defect in which abdominal organs develop outside the body.

“I donated the full amount. He’s so precious and much love to the whole family,” Ms Rachel replied. The donation appears on the family’s GoGetFunding campaign.

The children’s educator has increasingly used her huge online following for humanitarian causes. She has been a vocal advocate for children affected by war.

Her generosity has won praise from fans. For one family in the Philippines, it means their baby can get the care he needs.

The International Business Times also reported the donation. Ms Rachel told the family she hopes the baby’s brother feels better soon.
