Ghai’s cinema festival brings Aamir, Hema Malini together

Filmmaker Subhash Ghai will bring Aamir Khan, Hema Malini, Rana Daggubati and Imtiaz Ali together for the Celebrate Cinema Festival 2026 at Whistling Woods International on October 7, 8 and 9. Each day spotlights a different cinematic journey. Aamir Khan joins on October 7 for a conversation around Sitaare Zameen Par. On October 8, Hema Malini pays tribute to the late Dharmendra in a special session, with Rana Daggubati also attending. October 9 brings Imtiaz Ali for a session on his recent film Main Vaapas Aaunga. Ghai will also interact with students and aspiring filmmakers during the celebrations. Announcing the festival on Instagram, Ghai said he was grateful to the filmmakers and excited to interact with 2,000 students. The festival creates space for meaningful conversations around craft, giving young filmmakers direct access to the people behind some of Indian cinema's most recognisable stories and performances. With sessions spread across three days, it is set to be one of the film school's biggest industry gatherings this year.
