Odisha launches MICE portal to woo global events

Odisha has launched a MICE incentive portal to attract global business events to the state. The portal was unveiled in Bhubaneswar on October 5.
MICE stands for meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions. It is a fast-growing segment of business tourism, and states across India are competing to host large corporate events and conventions.
The portal is expected to make it simpler for event organisers to access the state’s incentives and support for hosting business events. A single digital window can cut paperwork and give organisers clarity on what the state offers.
The deputy chief minister was speaking at a high-level roundtable on MICE policy organised by the tourism department with FICCI as part of the Odisha Travel Bazaar 2026. Parida assured investors that administrative bottlenecks would be removed and targeted capital subsidies considered to speed up tourism-led investment.
Odisha has been pitching itself as an emerging destination for business events, building on its connectivity and hospitality infrastructure. State officials say the incentive portal is a step towards putting Odisha on the map for global conferences and exhibitions.
