Fadnavis Launches Invest Maharashtra With ₹8.57 Lakh Crore MoUs

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis launched the "Invest Maharashtra" platform on October 1 at the Bandra-Kurla Complex in Mumbai, unveiling a pipeline of 67 proposed MoUs worth over Rs 8.57 lakh crore.
Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Ajit Pawar joined the launch. Ministers Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Ashish Shelar, Jaykumar Rawal, Sanjay Sawkare and Uday Samant were present.
The 67 MoUs are projected to generate over 3,00,000 direct and indirect jobs. Investments span data centres, semiconductors, renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, aerospace, defence, healthcare and agro-processing.
Fadnavis pitched Maharashtra as "Made for Business," promising that the government would build the talent, suppliers and ecosystem investors need.
He urged large industries to ensure benefits reach local MSMEs, suppliers, farmers and youth, and to absorb local firms into supply chains.
Investment proposals have come from Chandrapur, Wardha, Nagpur, Gondia, Nashik, Jalgaon, Dhule, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Pune, Ahilyanagar, Ratnagiri, Palghar and the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
Fadnavis also said the MMRDA has completed the land-use process for 2,100 sq km for Mumbai-3 and Mumbai-4 — the fastest such exercise in India.
The state is targeting a $1 trillion economy by 2030.
