CSIR UGC NET December 2026 registration begins, check key dates
The National Testing Agency has opened registration for the Joint CSIR UGC NET December 2026 exam. Candidates can apply online at csirnet.nta.nic.in.
Registration started on October 7, 2026. The last date to apply and pay the fee without a late charge is November 5, 2026, up to 11.50 pm.
The exam will be held on December 19, 22 and 27, 2026. It will be a computer-based test with two shifts each day, morning and afternoon.
The test decides eligibility for Junior Research Fellowships, Assistant Professor posts and PhD admissions in Indian universities. The three-hour paper covers five science subjects in Hindi and English.
Candidates who miss the deadline can apply from November 6 to 9 with a late fee of 500 rupees. A correction window will open from November 10 to 12. The General category application fee is 1,150 rupees. The age limit for the fellowship is 30 years, with relaxation for reserved categories.
