Delhi poll body holds special camps to enrol young voters

The Delhi Chief Electoral Officer held special voter enrolment camps at colleges and universities on October 7 and 8. Another round of camps will be held at polling station locations on October 11.

The camps aim to enrol young electors aged 18 to 25. Anyone who turns 18 by October 1, 2026, and whose name is missing from the draft roll can apply through Form 6.

Booth Level Officers were present at the camps. They helped students fill forms and answered questions about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter rolls.

The claims and objections period runs until October 30, 2026. All objections will be resolved by November 30. The final electoral roll will be published on December 12, 2026.

The drive is part of a national exercise to find eligible voters missed during the SIR. Officials will compare old and new rolls to spot missing names. Young voters were urged to use the camps.
