CBSE opens private candidate registration for 2027 board exams
CBSE has started registration for private candidates for the 2027 board exams. Students can apply online through the board’s official website, cbse.gov.in.
The registration window opened on October 8, 2026. It covers Class 10 and Class 12 students who will appear as private candidates in the 2027 session.
The last date without a late fee is October 23, 2026. Students who miss the deadline can still apply from October 24 to 30 by paying a late fee of 2,000 rupees.
Eligible students include those in the Essential Repeat and Compartment categories. Students who want to improve their marks and those who could not appear earlier may also apply.
The board exams will be held in February to April 2027. CBSE said no form will be accepted after the last date. Payment is accepted only through online modes. Students must choose their exam city carefully, as the allotted centre cannot be changed later, CBSE said.
