Hollywood star Chris Evans helped a pair of bonded shelter dogs get adopted together through his “Dream Date” initiative with animal rescue organisations.

The two dogs, Greg and Carley, had been in a shelter and were inseparable — the kind of bonded pair that rescue groups struggle to place because they must be adopted as a package.

Evans’ involvement brought national attention to their story, and the pair found a family willing to take both. Carley has since been renamed Callie.

Shelter advocates say bonded pairs are often the hardest dogs to place, and celebrity spotlights can dramatically raise their chances of adoption.
