Delhi to host Routes Asia 2027 aviation summit in March

Delhi will host Routes Asia 2027, the international aviation event, from March 16 to 18, 2027, at Bharat Mandapam. More than 115 airlines and representatives from over 55 countries are expected to take part.
Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu unveiled the curtain-raiser in New Delhi. The Airports Authority of India will host the event under the theme “Bharat Aviation Rising: Inclusive Growth, Connecting Asia and Beyond.”
About 2,500 one-on-one meetings between airlines, airports and tourism authorities are expected over the three days. The event aims to unlock new regional and international air connectivity for Asia-Pacific.
Naidu said India is already the world’s third-largest domestic aviation market and aims to become the third-largest overall. The country now has more than 165 airports, with plans to add 100 more over the next decade.
He added that the goal is to grow annual passengers from 24 crore today to 130 crore by 2047, and raise operational airports from 165 to 400.
