India Launches National Digital Tourism Stack, Dekho Apna Desh 2.0

India launched the National Digital Tourism Stack and Dekho Apna Desh 2.0 on September 27, World Tourism Day, at an event at Bharat Mandapam. Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat unveiled the platforms.
The digital stack is a unified technology backbone for tourism services, developed in collaboration with ONDC. It aims to bring 23,000 tourism experiences onto a common digital platform by 2028, with a pilot planned for January 2027.
Dekho Apna Desh 2.0 is the upgraded version of the domestic tourism campaign, designed to promote lesser-known destinations alongside popular ones. Five memorandums of understanding were signed with Airbnb, FlixBus, Glance, Eicher and MakeMyTrip.
The tourism ministry said the initiatives will make trip planning more seamless while giving small operators digital reach. The move comes as domestic tourism continues to grow, with travellers increasingly seeking curated and offbeat experiences.
The ministry said the stack will plug into the Incredible India digital platform, giving travellers a single window for information and bookings. Industry bodies welcomed the move, saying it could help smaller operators reach tourists directly.
