Admiral Samuel J. Paparo, Commander of the US Indo-Pacific Command, is visiting India starting October 3, 2026. The US Embassy in India announced the visit. It aims to advance defence ties and military-to-military cooperation.
Paparo will meet Indian counterparts on shared security priorities. The agenda includes digital transformation and emerging technologies. It also covers regional strategic stability and defence energy resilience.
The US mission said both nations are building a defence partnership for future challenges. These range from emerging technology to maritime security. The visit underlines the Major Defence Partnership between the two countries.
Paparo last visited India from February 14 to 19 this year. He met then Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan and then Naval chief Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi.
