Ex-Hurricane Polo Floods US Southwest After Baja Landfall
La Paz: Former Hurricane Polo weakened to a tropical storm before striking Baja California Sur on Tuesday morning with winds of 110 mph, and its remnants have flooded parts of the US Southwest.
In New Mexico's Dona Ana County, the McLeod Dam was reported to be near failing, prompting evacuations. Flood risk is now moving toward Texas and Oklahoma as the storm's moisture pushes east.
