Ukraine’s largest mobile operator Kyivstar said its headquarters was hit in an overnight strike, though the company reported no casualties among its staff.

Reports said the attack was part of a wider wave of strikes that also damaged data centre infrastructure. Around 100,000 households were reportedly affected by power and network outages linked to the strikes.

A separate claim that a Vodafone facility was also struck could not be confirmed. Vodafone did not confirm any damage to its sites, leaving the allegation unverified.

The strikes mark a fresh escalation in attacks on civilian and communications infrastructure. Telecom networks have been repeatedly targeted during the conflict, disrupting internet access for businesses and residents.

Kyivstar said its teams were working to restore services. Ukrainian officials condemned the attacks, saying strikes on civilian infrastructure violate international norms. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed.

Communication networks are seen as critical infrastructure during the conflict. Previous attacks on power and telecom sites have left millions without electricity or internet for hours at a time. Repair crews often work under difficult conditions to bring services back online.
