Six Kings Slam explained: tennis’s richest exhibition

The Six Kings Slam returns to Riyadh from October 21 to 24 for its third edition. Here is what the richest exhibition in men’s tennis looks like.

It is not an ATP Tour event, so no ranking points are on offer. The money is the draw. The winner takes home $6 million, the largest single tournament payday in men’s tennis. Each player also gets a guaranteed participation fee. Last year, Jannik Sinner collected $1.5 million just for playing and another $4.5 million for winning.

Six players take part. Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic receive byes straight into the semifinals. The other four start in the quarterfinals: Sinner faces Alex de Minaur, while Alexander Zverev meets Taylor Fritz. The winners advance, and a third-place match is also played.

Sinner has won both editions so far, beating Alcaraz in the 2024 and 2025 finals. He leads de Minaur 13-0 in their head-to-head record.

The byes have drawn criticism from fans, who say the two-time champion and world No. 1 Sinner deserved one instead. His participation is now uncertain because of a knee injury.
