Reliance Jio has rolled out a 10th anniversary offer on eligible JioBharat 4G phones, bundling six months of connectivity with the handset for Rs 1,499.

The limited-period offer includes 14GB of data per month and unlimited HD voice calls for six months. Jio says a 2G user spending about Rs 199 a month would pay nearly Rs 1,200 over six months on recharges alone, putting the effective cost of the handset at Rs 299.

Jio has not specified which JioBharat models qualify. The company said the mentioned specifications – a 2.4-inch display, 2,000mAh battery and 4G connectivity – match the JioBharat B1 and B2 devices.

The phones support UPI payments through JioPay with payment alerts and Sound Box functionality. They also carry Jio Safety Shield with safe-calling and location-monitoring features for families.

Entertainment services including JioTV with over 500 channels and JioHotstar come bundled with the devices.

The offer is aimed at making the switch from 2G to 4G more affordable during the festive season. It comes with applicable terms and conditions and is available for a limited period.
