CoreWeave enters India with 240 MW Navi Mumbai hub

US AI cloud company CoreWeave has announced its entry into India, partnering with AdaniConneX to build a 240-megawatt AI cloud region in Navi Mumbai.
The capacity will be spread across three 80-megawatt buildings at AdaniConneX’s Taloja campus. It will run on NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin platform, with the first phase expected by mid-2028 and an option to add another 240 megawatts.
CoreWeave said it will also open an office in the country and hire locally. The company framed the move as support for the IndiaAI Mission and the country’s growing demand for GPU compute.
AdaniConneX is a joint venture between Adani Enterprises and EdgeConneX. The Taloja campus is one of India’s largest data centre developments, and the CoreWeave deal marks its biggest AI cloud commitment yet.
The announcement, made on October 6-7, positions India as the next battleground for AI infrastructure, with global hyperscalers and specialist GPU clouds racing to secure power and land.
