Apple’s First Foldable iPhone: Price, Specs, Sale Date

Apple is entering the foldable race at last. The company announced its first foldable iPhone, called iPhone Duo, at its September 9 event. Pre-orders open October 16. Sales begin October 23 in over 70 countries, with 28 more markets joining on October 30.
The phone starts at $1,999 for the 256GB model. The 512GB version costs $2,199. The 1TB model is priced at $2,599. A top-end 2TB variant reaches $3,199, placing it firmly in ultra-premium territory.
It uses Grade 5 titanium with Ceramic Shield protection. The display measures 7.6 inches when fully open. The hinge contains over 100 precision components. Cameras include dual 48MP rear sensors and a 12MP front camera for selfies and video calls.
The launch puts Apple directly against Samsung and other foldable makers. Analysts will watch early sales closely for signs of demand. The high starting price means Apple is targeting premium buyers first before the category goes mainstream.
