Amazon Launches Three New Alexa Tablets From $229.99

Amazon has launched three new Alexa tablets — the Alexa Tablet 12 Pro, Tablet 11 and Tablet 8 — with Alexa+ built in and full Google Play Store access for the first time.
The flagship 12 Pro starts at $499.99 and offers a 12-inch 2.8K display with 120Hz refresh rate. An optional Nanomatte version at $549.99 uses anti-glare glass developed with Corning. It runs a 4nm eight-core chip with up to 16GB of RAM.
The 11-inch Tablet 11 starts at $329.99 with a 2.5K display and Dolby Atmos speakers. The 8.7-inch Tablet 8 starts at $229.99, weighs 329 grams and is built for one-handed reading. Amazon also launched two Kids tablets with kid-proof cases and a year of Kids+.
Pre-orders are open now. The tablets ship October 14 in the US, Mexico and Canada, and October 19 in Europe. Amazon says Alexa+ can answer questions and control smart homes from the tablets.
