He anchored the innings with calm shot selection, finding boundaries at key moments while rotating the strike. His partnerships through the middle overs kept the required rate under control.

India had posted a commanding total, but their bowlers could not contain Hope once he was set. The chase was completed with overs to spare, giving the visitors a consolation win and a morale boost ahead of the T20I series.

Hope was named Player of the Match for his record-breaking knock. For India, the defeat exposed bowling concerns at the death despite the series win. The two sides now switch to the T20 format, with the first game in Lucknow on October 6.
