NFL suspends two officials after Week 4 outbursts

The NFL suspended two officials on Monday for unprofessional conduct toward players during Week 4 games.
Line judge Jeff Seeman was banned for two games. Cameras appeared to show him swearing at Arizona Cardinals tight end Trey McBride during the loss to the Giants.
Referee Adrian Hill received a one-game suspension. He yelled at Minnesota Vikings linebacker Eric Wilson after an accidental collision knocked him over.
The suspensions were issued by NFL vice president of officiating Ramon George. The league called the incidents unprofessional conduct toward a player.
The NFL Referees Association said the penalties were excessive and inconsistent with past precedent. It plans to challenge the severity of the suspensions.
NFLPA executive director JC Tretter had called Seeman’s behaviour unprofessional on social media. The league reached its decision within 24 hours.
