Minnesota stun Michigan 20-14 in Big Ten upset

Minnesota beat Michigan 20-14 at Huntington Bank Stadium on Saturday, the Golden Gophers’ first home win over the Wolverines since 1977, NBC Sports reported.
Michigan led 14-7 at halftime but was shut out in the second half. Minnesota took the lead for good on a touchdown pass from Drake Lindsey to Darius Taylor in the fourth quarter and held on with a late defensive stand.
Lindsey completed 17 of 25 passes for 136 yards and a touchdown. Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood struggled, completing 10 of 21 passes for 101 yards with two interceptions.
The win gives Minnesota the Little Brown Jug trophy for the first time since 2014. Fans stormed the field after the final whistle.
Minnesota coach PJ Fleck called it a landmark day. Michigan fell to 3-2 overall and 0-2 in Big Ten play, likely ending any College Football Playoff hopes. The Gophers improved to 4-1 and announced themselves as a real threat in the conference race.
