Miller, Bavuma centuries seal ODI series win for South Africa
South Africa beat Australia by 32 runs in the second ODI in Johannesburg on Sunday. The win gave the hosts an unassailable 2-0 lead. The series is decided with one game to spare.
David Miller struck a career-best 142 from 93 balls. He hit nine sixes. Temba Bavuma made a composed 103 from 116 balls. The pair shared a 156-run stand for the fourth wicket. South Africa posted 365 for nine.
Australia made a flying start. Mitch Marsh and Travis Head both scored 84. They added 130 for the first wicket in 17 overs. But the spinners tightened the screw. Australia were bowled out for 333. Xavier Bartlett made 50 from 28 balls.
Bavuma called it an overall good team performance. It was South Africa's sixth straight ODI series win over Australia. The hosts also won the first match by 67 runs. Context: The final ODI is on Wednesday in Potchefstroom. Australia will fight to avoid a whitewash.
