LSU senior linebacker Whit Weeks suffered a fractured right fibula in the Tigers' 35-6 win over Texas A&M on Saturday night, a source within the program confirmed Sunday. The injury is not considered season-ending at this point, but there is no firm timeline for his return.

Weeks went down early in the second half and left the field on crutches with a walking boot on his right foot. He had four tackles and a quarterback hurry before exiting. Head coach Lane Kiffin said after the game that the injury 'didn't look good' walking off.

It is the latest blow for first-year coach Kiffin's defense. Star tight end Trey'Dez Green sprained his knee against Ole Miss and will miss time, and standout safety Dashawn Spears is out for the season with a knee injury.

LSU will rely on Tylen Singleton and Davhon Keys alongside TJ Dottery while Weeks recovers. The Tigers step out of conference play this week as McNeese visits Baton Rouge.
