The BCCI has announced the India and India A squads for the tour of New Zealand. The senior team will play five T20Is, five ODIs and two Tests on the tour. The T20I series begins in Christchurch on October 22, followed by the ODI series. The first ODI is scheduled at Eden Park in Auckland on November 4. Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who played all three ODIs against the West Indies, are certain to be picked for the 50-over leg after strong recent form. Rohit scored 32, 101 and 92 in the home series, while Kohli made 139 not out, 29 and a golden duck. With no ODIs scheduled for India in the next 30 days, the New Zealand tour is the next 50-over assignment. Rohit averages well in New Zealand with four fifties, while Kohli has a century and four fifties there. The Tests will test India’s red-ball depth away from home.
