Prasidh Krishna Out of Third ODI; Naman Dhir Replaces Sundar in T20Is

India fast bowler Prasidh Krishna has been ruled out of the third ODI against the West Indies with a left hamstring injury, the BCCI said on Thursday.
Prasidh sustained the injury during the second ODI in Guwahati on Wednesday. The men’s selection committee named Anshul Kamboj as his replacement. Kamboj will join the squad in Chandigarh and could make his ODI debut on Saturday.
In a separate move, the senior selection committee has withdrawn Washington Sundar from India’s squad for the five-match T20I series against the West Indies. The decision is not injury-related.
The BCCI said the move was taken in view of the upcoming Test series against New Zealand. With the Ranji Trophy season starting on October 11, Sundar will get red-ball cricket for Tamil Nadu to prepare for the Tests. The first Test begins in Wellington on November 19.
Naman Dhir, who made his ODI debut in this series, has been named as Sundar’s replacement in the T20I squad. The T20I series starts in Lucknow on October 6.
India lead the three-match ODI series 2-0 after Wednesday’s record chase in Guwahati.
