Prasidh Krishna to miss third ODI; Naman Dhir in for T20Is

Fast bowler Prasidh Krishna will miss India’s third ODI against the West Indies, the BCCI announced, adding to India’s injury concerns in the home series.
The BCCI said Krishna was ruled out of the final ODI in New Chandigarh on October 3. The pacer had been expensive during India’s record run chase in the second ODI in Guwahati, where the West Indies posted 405 for 7.
In a separate squad update, the BCCI named Naman Dhir as a replacement for Washington Sundar in the T20I squad. Dhir, who bowled tightly during the second ODI before leaving the field, gets an opportunity in the shorter format.
India have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match ODI series after chasing down 406 in Guwahati on September 30, powered by Shubman Gill’s unbeaten 223 and Rohit Sharma’s 101.
The injuries come at a busy time for Indian cricket, with the Asian Games final, the ODI series decider and a packed home season all falling within days of each other.
