Dodgers beat Braves 4-1 to reach third straight NLCS

The Los Angeles Dodgers are heading to their third straight National League Championship Series after a 4-1 win over the Atlanta Braves in Game 4 of the NLDS.
Andy Pages broke open a pitchers’ duel with a two-run single in the seventh inning. It was the Dodgers’ first hit with runners in scoring position in the series after they started 0-for-14.
Max Muncy added an insurance run with a solo homer in the ninth. It was his third homer of this postseason and the 19th of his playoff career, extending his Dodgers franchise record.
Dodgers starter Tyler Glasnow battled through 4 2/3 innings, allowing one run on one hit but walking five. The bullpen was outstanding, with Alex Vesia, Edgardo Henriquez, Tanner Scott and Edwin Diaz combining for 4 1/3 scoreless innings.
The Dodgers are chasing history. They are trying to become the first National League team to win three straight World Series.
They will face the winner of the Brewers-Padres series in the NLCS starting Sunday. The Braves have not advanced past the division series since winning the World Series in 2021.
