Buttler out of Pakistan tri-series with hamstring injury

England will be without Jos Buttler for the ODI tri-series in Pakistan. The former white-ball captain has a hamstring injury. He picked it up during the second ODI against Sri Lanka last week.
Harry Brook will captain the 16-man squad. The tri-series also features Sri Lanka and Pakistan. It will be played in Rawalpindi and Lahore from October 18 to 31. The top two teams meet in the final at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.
Adil Rashid returns after a hand injury that kept him out of the Sri Lanka series. Sam Curran is back after a groin injury. Fast bowler Jofra Archer has been rested to manage his workload after a busy summer.
Leg-spinner Mason Crane has earned a recall eight years after his last England appearance. The 29-year-old is uncapped in ODIs. James Coles and Henry Crocombe earned their first ODI call-ups. Selector Marcus North said the tour will test the squad in different conditions.
