India swept all three compound archery team gold medals on Day 12 of the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games on Wednesday, in a landmark day for the country’s archers.

The women’s compound team of Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Chikitha Taniparthi and Prithika Pradeep defeated China 238-234 in the final at Okazaki Central Park Multipurpose Square, equalling the world record set by South Korea in Incheon in 2014. The trio defended the title India won in Hangzhou, having beaten South Korea 234-233 in the semifinal earlier in the day.

The mixed team of Sahil Rajesh Jadhav and Chikitha Taniparthi beat South Korea in a dramatic shoot-off to take gold. The teams were tied 157-157 after normal sets before India won the shoot-off 10-9, also securing a Los Angeles 2028 Olympics quota place.

The men’s team defeated China 238-237 in a thrilling final after trailing in the early ends, completing the sweep. India had beaten South Korea 234-233 in the semifinal.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh congratulated the women’s team on X, praising their “precision, composure and collective determination” in what he called a golden triumph for Indian archery.
