Arteta Signs New Arsenal Deal Until 2030

Mikel Arteta has signed a new Arsenal contract until June 2030. The deal rewards the manager who ended the club’s 22-year wait for a Premier League title.
Arsenal announced the extension on Wednesday. Arteta, 44, took charge in December 2019. His old deal ran to 2027. Reports put his new salary at around 17 million pounds a year plus bonuses, making him the Premier League’s best-paid manager.
Arteta led Arsenal to the league title last season, their first since 2004. He also won the FA Cup in his first season. Arsenal lost the Champions League final on penalties to Paris Saint-Germain.
He has managed 361 games, winning 220. The club has backed him with about 850 million pounds of net spending on players. Stars like Bukayo Saka, William Saliba and Gabriel have all signed new deals in the past year.
“It’s a privilege to commit my future to the club,” Arteta said. “We have already built a special bond and created memories that will last a lifetime.”
Arsenal have won four of their first five league games this season. They sit second in the table as the title defence continues.
