Brock Purdy threw four touchdown passes as the San Francisco 49ers outlasted the Arizona Cardinals 36-30 on Sept. 27 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. The 49ers moved to 3-0 on the season.

Purdy finished 15 of 27 for 297 yards with no interceptions, posting a 133.8 passer rating. He added 34 yards on two carries. The 49ers opened the scoring when Mike Evans lateraled to Deebo Samuel for an 80-yard touchdown.

Christian McCaffrey ran 15 times for 75 yards and a touchdown. Tight end George Kittle caught six passes for 82 yards and two scores, giving Purdy a reliable target all night.

Arizona (1-2) stayed close behind quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who completed 38 of 52 passes for 280 yards and two touchdowns. The Cardinals fought back in the second half but could not close the gap. San Francisco dealt with injuries: Evans hurt his ribs and offensive tackle Trent Williams suffered a stinger. The 49ers remain unbeaten and alone in first place in the NFC West race.
