Delhi to See Clear Skies, Dry Days Till October 5; AQI Moderate

Delhi-NCR will see clear skies and dry weather till October 5, the India Meteorological Department said on Saturday. The southwest monsoon has completely withdrawn from the region, and there are no indications of rain or storms.
The maximum temperature is expected to settle around 36 degrees Celsius and the minimum around 24 degrees. Mornings and evenings will feel slightly cool, though the sun will stay bright during the day. The IMD has placed the region in the green zone, meaning no extreme weather threat.
Air quality remained in the moderate category. AQI readings included 198 at Alipur, 193 at Mundka, 191 at CRRI Mathura Road and 190 at Pusa, while Anand Vihar recorded 143 and Patparganj 133.
Winds of around 20-22 kmph during the day should keep the heat from feeling excessive, slowing to about 15 kmph at night. Rainfall activity may pick up again from October 6.
Why it matters: October is Delhi’s transition month, and air quality usually worsens as winter approaches.
