CJP Announces Oct 10 Jantar Mantar Protest Over CEC

The Cockroach Janta Party has announced a protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on October 10 if Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar does not resign.
CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke made the announcement late on Friday in a post on X. He said supporters from across India would march to Delhi for what he called a peaceful protest.
The move follows Friday’s rally at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park, where thousands gathered despite police denying permission. Nearly 1,000 people were detained in Delhi during related protests.
The CJP is demanding Kumar’s resignation over alleged irregularities in the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. The Election Commission has rejected the claims.
Dipke said the protest would follow Mahatma Gandhi’s path of non-violence. He warned that if police stopped marchers, wherever they were stopped would become the protest site.
The CJP said it will not join the Opposition’s separate October 6 protest against the Election Commission. Its agitation remains independent of other parties.
