BJP Leaders Slam Opposition Over Protest Against CEC

BJP leaders from West Bengal and Bihar have strongly criticised the opposition's protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The remarks came on October 3, ahead of the INDIA bloc's march to the Election Commission office.
Dilip Ghosh of West Bengal and Dilip Jaiswal of Bihar said the opposition was targeting a constitutional authority because it could not accept election outcomes. They accused the INDIA bloc of trying to create distrust in the electoral process with unproven claims about voter lists.
The BJP leaders said the Election Commission functions independently and that allegations of voter-roll manipulation should be raised through proper legal channels, not street protests. They also defended Kumar's record as CEC.
The opposition, led by Rahul Gandhi, has demanded Kumar's resignation over alleged irregularities in voter rolls. The war of words adds to the political heat around the October 6 march and the November 1 rally planned in Delhi, with both sides digging in on the credibility of the poll process.
