Transgene to present cancer virus data at SITC 2026

French biotech company Transgene will present preclinical data on a novel oncolytic virus at the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) 2026 annual meeting.
The poster will highlight PoxSTG-EEV, a novel enveloped oncolytic virus designed for systemic delivery. It will be presented on November 7, 2026, as abstract number 1050.
SITC 2026 will take place from November 4 to 8, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona. The abstract will be available on the SITC website on November 3.
Transgene, listed on Euronext Paris, designs and develops virus-based immunotherapies for the treatment of cancer. Oncolytic viruses are engineered to infect and destroy cancer cells while largely sparing healthy tissue.
Systemic delivery is a key challenge in the field. Most oncolytic viruses are injected directly into tumours. A formulation that can be delivered through the bloodstream could reach cancers that cannot be injected directly.
The presentation will cover preclinical data only. Clinical testing in patients has not been announced.
