Actor-politician Ravi Kishan will headline an untitled devotional drama written and directed by Amit Aarryan, produced by Mahaveer Jain Films.

The film centres on a man who treats God as his closest friend, exploring faith through an intimate spiritual lens. Filming is expected to begin in January 2027.

Kishan, known for blending his Bhojpuri cinema roots with Bollywood and political life, has increasingly taken on spiritually themed projects. The makers describe the film as a devotional drama rather than a conventional religious epic.

Further casting details are expected to be announced closer to production. The announcement adds to a growing slate of faith-based films finding mainstream audiences.

Faith-based cinema has enjoyed a strong commercial run in recent years, with spiritual and mythological themes drawing family audiences in large numbers. Producers say the genre’s success has encouraged more mainstream stars to take on devotional subjects once considered niche.

An official title and first look are expected early next year, with the makers planning a wide theatrical release for the faith-based project.
