Ranabaali Shoot Wraps Up, Vijay Deverakonda Film Set for Oct 16
The shoot of Ranabaali, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, has officially wrapped, with the makers announcing a countdown to its worldwide theatrical release on October 16, 2026. The film is set to arrive during the Dussehra festive window.
The period action drama is directed by Rahul Sankrityan and set between 1854 and 1878. Vijay plays Singanamala Bobbili Ranabaali, a warrior who stands against British forces, while Rashmika plays his wife Jayamma. The Mummy actor Arnold Vosloo plays the main antagonist.
The wrap marks a special moment for the team. Vijay shared a behind-the-scenes video of Rashmika mimicking his character’s dialogue on Instagram. It is the couple’s first film together since their real-life marriage in February 2026.
The film’s first single, Endhayya Saami, composed by Ajay-Atul, is already out. The movie was earlier slated for September 11 but was pushed back after Rashmika’s injury while filming another project.
