Ramayana Part 1 releases November 6; Australia gets early premiere

Ramayana: Part One will release worldwide on November 6, 2026, coinciding with Diwali. Australia will get the film a day earlier, on November 5.
The makers have planned paid previews on November 4, ahead of the full release, according to reports. The rollout will be one of the largest ever for an Indian film.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the two-part epic stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Sita and Sunny Deol as Hanuman.
The film is produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios with Yash's Monster Mind Creations. Oscar-winning studio DNEG is handling the visual effects, while Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman have composed the music.
The project is mounted on a massive scale. Industry reports peg the budget for both parts at around Rs 4,000 crore.
Part One will open on about 10,000 screens in India, with the international release reaching around 50,000 screens.
An English lip-synced trailer has already been released for international audiences. The makers are positioning the film as a global theatrical spectacle.
Part Two is scheduled for Diwali 2027, completing the two-part saga.
