This Week on OTT: Mandaadi, Reporting Live, Animals
Streaming platforms have a packed week from October 5 to 11, with new films and shows across Netflix, Prime Video and JioHotstar.
Netflix leads with three October 9 releases: the Tamil sports drama Mandaadi starring Soori, Parineeti Chopra’s investigative thriller Reporting Live, and Ben Affleck’s kidnapping thriller Animals. The Malayalam film Pradhama Drishtya Kuttakkar also lands on Netflix on October 9.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which earned over $2 billion in theatres, arrives on Prime Video and Apple TV on October 6, alongside horror title Insidious: Out of the Further. The Stephen King adaptation Carrie streams on Prime Video from October 7.
JioHotstar brings Pati Patni Aur Panga Season 2 on October 10.
Reporting Live, directed by Dhruv Tripathi, follows a journalist chasing an illegal sand-mining racket. Mandaadi tells the story of a former catamaran racer returning home after two decades.
With festive holidays ahead, the crowded streaming calendar gives viewers more new options at home than in any single week this month.
