Actor Nushrratt Bharuccha has been flown to Mumbai for spine surgery. She suffered a spinal fracture in an accident in Bali. She was brought back on October 2 by air ambulance.

Nushrratt was in Bali for a work-cum-holiday trip. She was first hospitalised there. Videos showed her being taken out of an ambulance on a stretcher in Mumbai.

Her team issued an official statement on October 2. It said she remains under medical observation. She will undergo spine surgery after further evaluation.

“At present, our immediate priority is her health and ensuring she receives the necessary medical care,” the statement said.

Her work commitments over the next few weeks are likely to be affected. The team requested privacy for her treatment and recovery.

Nushrratt gained fame with Pyaar Ka Punchnama in 2011. She later starred in Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Dream Girl. She has since done films like Chhorii and Akelli.
