Abhishek Banerjee and Divyenndu, the fan-favourite Compounder and Munna Tripathi of Mirzapur, are reuniting for a new web series. The show is described as an Empire-style drama and is being produced by Endemol.

Filmfare reported that the yet-untitled series will stream on Amazon MX Player. Abhishek Banerjee will headline it, with Divyenndu in a key role. The story is expected to explore power, ambition and the dynamics of building and protecting an empire.

Plot details and character names are being kept under wraps. The makers are building a larger-scale narrative, moving the duo away from the gangster world that defined their breakout roles.

The reunion comes after the two shared screen space in Mirzapur: The Movie, which released in theatres in September.

Both actors have busy slates. Divyenndu made his Telugu debut with Peddi this year, while Banerjee made his Tamil web series debut with Legacy and appeared in Lust Stories 3.
